Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences
Research on natural language processing and crowd-sourcing under Prof. Barbara Grosz and Dr. Edith Law. The aim is to automate certain tasks in Curio, a micro-task platform for crowdsourcing research tasks in sciences and humanities, and Simplyput, a crowdsourcing project towards improving health literacy and communication.

Built an application that provides an internet and mobile platform for healthcare related services, including secure multimedia messaging, live video calls for follow-ups, patient health diaries, and virtual appointment scheduling.
Developed Singapore Polytechnic Mobile apps with Sencha Touch and PhoneGap. Also developed an online form creation web application and a native iOS application. Won the MobFest Competition 2012, a mobile software writing competition, held at the Singapore Polytechnic

Harvard Committee on Deaf Awareness
The Harvard Committee on Deaf Awareness is a student organization that works to promote understanding and awareness of the deaf community. CODA offers on-campus sign language classes, a weekly ASL Table, a volunteer program with deaf children in the greater Boston area, and a wide range of informational and social events. We are part of the Phillips Brooks House Association, a student-run public service organization at Harvard University.

Worked with a team of engineers that built 1.3-meter humanoid soccer robots that ranked second internationally twice. Authored two technical papers: “Localization of Humanoid Soccer Robots” and "Robo-Erectus Jr-2010 KidSize"

Led and advised the team that eventually won the title of SIFE Singapore National Champion in 2010. Directed 28 students to install electrical fixtures and constructed a community hall for the underprivileged. Started a social enterprise that allowed the Filipino villagers to augment their main incomes from fishing.

Marketed and sold a full range of diesel machines and their spare-parts. Grew the business to branch out to two other stores within three years.
